Check-in is from 3:00PM and check-out is by 12:00PM. Rates are quoted per person.
Accommodation, full board meals, coffee, tea and mineral water, unlimited snorkelling, and scheduled return boat transfers. Diving, island hopping, transparent kayaking and fun fishing are extra and should be booked in advance.
Swimwear, light breathable clothing, sandals or water shoes, a hat and a rash guard. Bring a dry bag, a waterproof camera, cash (MYR), sunscreen, insect repellent and a valid passport or ID.
Electricity and Wi-Fi may be limited at certain times because of the island's power supply. It's part of what keeps Sand Bay feeling like a real getaway.
Bum Bum Island is home to Bajau Laut (Sea Gypsy) communities and fishing villages. Please dress modestly when visiting, respect local customs, and ask before photographing residents.
Cancellations within 30 days of arrival may incur penalty charges; no-shows and last-minute cancellations are non-refundable. Travel insurance is recommended. Non-Malaysian guests pay a Tourism Tax of MYR 10 per room per night at the resort.
